Here he answers some questions:
When did you start racing?
I started in 2005 as a novice in Minimax and did some club meetings at Wombwell. I started racing because I went to a rental kart place a few times and got to the stage where the karts were so slow I was flat out the whole lap! So my dad and I came to the conclusion that he would buy a Prokart for me to race but the class was cancelled so we went to Minimax.
What is your ambition?
To be F1 World Champion!
Who is your hero?
Ayrton Senna – his attitude to the sport was fantastic, he was polite, a very talented driver and his death was tragic. I’m also very keen on Michael Schumacher.
Who has been the biggest influence on your career?
Craig Dolby – he started running me in Minimax in 2006, he inspired me to achieve so much and helped me to improve as a novice. Tim and Jason [Parrott] have also helped me so much, a big thank you to them and let’s nail it next year!
What do you do when you’re not racing?
I love messing around with engines and anything to do with motorsport. Whatever I do I’m competitive at which helps me excel, and I also like swimming and running. I don’t smoke and rarely drink because of my commitment to racing – it’s not worth it anyway.
